The Seven Sins: Chapter 7

Wrath looked straight ahead as she was being escorted to the meeting room of Mount Olympus.  The Angles glared at her as she walked by them, but she paid them no mind.  She only focused on the large white double doors ahead of her.





"It seems as if your friend wants you to survive," Iota and Kappa teased Michael.

"That doesn't mean we'll let it happen," Greed joined them.

"Greed, where's Wrath?" Michael looked around, "And Lust?"

Greed held up her bloody knife and grinned evilly.

Michael's eyes widened and it clicked in his mind.

"No…"




The large doors shut behind Wrath.

"Come child," Alpha said from the head of the table.

Wrath stepped forward to stand at the foot of the glistening white table.  A white chair that matched the table appeared behind her and Alpha said, "Pleas, sit."

Wrath cautiously sat down and placed her bag on the ground next to her.

"Why do you need me here?" Wrath demanded.

"To settle a peace treaty."




"That's how you knew about Zeta," Michael announced, "That's why you wanted to surrender."

"It would have made things easier," Greed replied.

"But," Iota interrupted.

"It isn't as fun," Kappa finished.

The twins grinned under their hoods as they drew their staffs.




"Why make a peace treaty when you could kill me?" Wrath questioned, "Or do you need someone to balance out Greed?"

"What?  How do you-?" for the first time, Alpha was surprised.  This wasn't supposed to happen.  Wrath wasn't supposed to know.  Zeta's body couldn't have revealed that much.  But now that Wrath did know…

Alpha shivered as the massive eruption of Vesuvius flashed before his mind's eye.

"What are your terms?" Wrath asked as she got more comfortable in her chair, sitting back, crossing her legs, and placing her hands in her lap.

"The war ends," Alpha answered cautiously, "And you assure us that you and Greed will no longer have an influence on the world."

"And Michael?" Wrath closed her eyes, she seemed to be thinking.

"He will have to be disposed of," Alpha answered.

As soon as he finished the sentence, the ground shook.

"Wrong answer," Wrath opened her eyes.

Alpha gasped, "What?"
